Welcome to The Report Card

It’s only about a week into the school year and already every college student in the country is stressing about the number of papers and exams looming ahead. It’s understandable: No more fun summer jobs. No more mooching off your parent’s kitchen. No more intern happy hours (everyone who was in DC this summer knows what we’re talking about).

Here at The Daily Pennsylvanian, the student newspaper of the University of Pennsylvania, we’re with you. But we’re also looking around (maybe it’s the looming-graduation thing, maybe it’s just a natural manifestation of our news-junkiness) and have seen a void: A lack of commentary by college students, for college students, about college and college students. So we — DP Executive Editor Juliette Mullin and Editorial Page Editor Alyssa Schwenk — present The Report Card.

The Record Card is your source for all news, analysis and gossip in higher education. From coast to coast, if it’s happening, we want you to know about it.

We don’t deny it: It’s a big world out there (even the Princeton Review stops somewhere around 360 colleges). So we need your help. If there’s anything you think we should be talking about, email us at trc@dailypennsylvanian.com. If something’s happening on your campus that speaks to higher ed, email us. If you’re a campus leader or even just an interested student and you want to post something about your school, email us.

Basically — email us. We want to hear from you.
