Noah - Thank you for the update. Good to know that the events are still going on, although very lightly publicized. Shanahan is a nice gal, despite her having to tow the party line for her heavy-handed boss. Any sign of Uhlhorn by chance?

Zach - Nice sidebar story. I guess he needs to wave the flag

I guess there was an event. Interesting story about Bilsky. He was sitting right around the 40- maybe 50-yard line and when I was on the field for the pregame band show he was the very first Penn fan to stand for the playing of the Alma Mater. So say what you will about his management, at least he respects the Penn songs.

FOJL,

Indeed, there was a pre-game get together. There was a tent in the parking lot with food and drinks and by a rough guess I'd say there were about 50 people there. I was looking for Bilsky, but in the 10 minutes I was there I didn't see him. I did get a chance to have a nice chat with Alanna Shanahan, who I met for the first time. We talked Penn football for a bit and then about the volleyball team actually. I asked her if Bilsky was there and she said he was there but didn't know where. This was about 30 minutes before kickoff and I had to get back to the press box so I'm not sure if he was there before then, after, or what. But the event did happen.

I was at the game with the band and didn't see any such events, though that doesn't mean they didn't happen. However most times if there is an alumni reception of sorts the band gets fed or at least plays for the alumni. So in all likelihood nothing happened.

What sort of turnout was there from a Penn alumni standpoint?

Usually pre-game events are planned with alumns getting together
for drinks and a light meal. Do you know if this happened at
Brown? I would think that efforts were made to reach out to
the solid alum base in the Providence/Boston area.
