1) Thanks to reader Will, vote for the Palestra over "The Pit," which is the University of New Mexico's stadium on CBS Sports' "Arena Wars."
2) Right as Penn's M. Lax coach is leaving, the W. Lax team is gaining coaches, as former standout Melissa Lehman will return to the team as an assistant coach. As a senior she was second on the team in scoring during the team's run to the 2008 NCAA Championship game.
3) The Ivy League has five preseason All-American FCS selections, and Penn's K Andrew Sansom is on the first team. CB Chris Wynn made the second team.
4) The info isn't really that noteworthy, but the headline and image of this CBB post grabbed my attention. However, I advise you to vote on the right-hand side for who you think the biggest challenger to Cornell is.

Can someone please tell the idiot running the Athletic Department
that his Men's Lacrosse program is a complete disaster?
The turnover in this program is alarming.
Since Tony Seaman left, the program has been mired in its own nasty backwash.

Penn Lax has become the Pittsburgh Pirates.
I sure hope Bilsky and his alumni stooge Mark Werner find these results
to be acceptable.
And once again, can someone in College Hall please start holding the
AD accountable for his PATHETIC men's teams?
On a much lighter note, I am heading out to the Hamptons this weekend
with the Yale law school alums.

Per your plea "Can someone please tell..." I share your sentiments completely! But regrettably don't expect action anytime soon from the DP. Unfortunately it is becoming increasingly clear the DP in general isn't interested in speaking truth to power, while the Sports Editors/Reporters - perhaps under threat by the Athletic Department to access and away-game travel - are similarly disinclined. BTW - If veiled or otherwise threats are being used, this disgusting behavior should be exposed, stopped, and roundly condemned!
But note, sports reporting currently seems centered on surfing other sites, and posting their links and stories. BTW - THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE LACROSSE COACH RESIGNATION WAS first POSTED IN "UNDER THE BUTTON" AS A "LOSS TO DREXEL" RATHER THAN A SPORTS STORY by sports' reporters! Perhaps the Sports Editor/Reporters were too busy to report it.

My kids play lacrosse at the club level. Close to the age where college coaches start showing up and looking at talent. A common theme among the families is how irrelevant a player that Penn Lacrosse has become.
Nobody (of any significance) wants to be affiliated with the program these days. Maybe the new coach will help. Then again, we have been saying that for quite some time.

Your comments re Penn Lacrosse are unfortunately applicable to other once storied Penn programs: eg. Rowing, Tennis, Track, (and increasingly sadly to me) Wrestling. The former coach Zeke Jones virtually ran aground the top Ivy & EIWL team Roger Reina had built. Hopefully Coach Eiter will bring the program back to relevance - it's not there today, and why did it have to get to this?
Scott, note the embarrassing amount of turnover of Penn coaches in just the past few weeks. Any problems with that?
